Witham MP meets year three students at Elm Hall School
On Friday 22nd September 2023 Witham MP Priti Patel had the pleasure of meeting with the pupils and staff at Elm Hall Primary School.
Priti was invited by the year 3 class teacher Mrs Karli Forbes to speak to the pupils about her role as a Member of Parliament and how Parliament works, before answering some questions from the students.
Priti said: “It was a real honour and joy to visit Elm Hall Primary School again and speak with the pupils in year 3 about my role as their MP. Public service is a core value of mine which I have always cherished and promoted. The children’s interest in Parliament and the democratic process was really refreshing to see, and I hope to see them on a visit to Parliament itself in the future.
I would also like to thank Mrs Forbes for extending the very kind invitation and all the staff at Elm Hall for their dedication to the pupils and for cultivating an environment of intellectual curiosity.”
