As a longstanding supporter of Farleigh Hospice, Witham MP Priti Patel was pleased to help officially open their new furniture shop in Witham.

Invited by Witham manager Danielle Gadd and Farleigh CEO Sarah Green, Priti was excited to look round the new shop and see the incredible work that went in to making this project a reality. During the visit, Priti also met with the local volunteers who give up their time to work in the shops and thanked them for their service and generosity.

Priti said: “I was honoured to join the wonderful team at Farleigh Hospice and visit the new furniture shop in the Grove Centre in Witham. As a long standing supporter of the hospice, I was briefed on this new venture earlier this year and I pay tribute to Danielle and the team for all their work in getting this new shop open.

I have seen firsthand the incredible care the hospice gives to its residents when I had the opportunity to visit earlier this year. When people shop and donate to Farleigh, they are helping to support a vital local service and charity which cares for people and their families at one of the most difficult times in someone’s life. My thanks go to Danielle, Sarah and the team at Farleigh Hospice for their inspiring work to help those in need of their support.”
