Priti Patel presents Kyle with his prizes for winning the MP’s Christmas card competition, a world atlas and a jigsaw puzzle.
Priti Patel MP leads the prize giving for her 2022 schools Christmas card competition
Witham MP, Priti Patel presented prizes to the winner and runner ups of her 2022 Christmas card competition. Priti met with and presented a prize to Kyle Worland, age 10, from Southview School who is this year’s winner and will be on the cover of Priti’s Christmas card. She congratulated him on his card design as she presented him with his prizes, a world atlas and jigsaw puzzle.
In addition, Priti visited St Luke’s Church of England Primary School and Howbridge Infants School to congratulate and present prizes to the runners up, Natalia Coyle age 9, and Alex Harkins age 6, who each received a world atlas.
Priti has also sent every other child who participated in her 2022 Christmas card competition a certificate in recognition of their hard work.
Priti said:” Each year this competition shows just how many talented children there are across my constituency. This year it has been an even greater pleasure to judge the entries. I have been delighted to visit Southview School and present the winning prize to Kyle, who had won in this year’s Christmas card competition.
“I have also visited St Luke’s Church of England Primary School to congratulate Natalia Coyle and Howbridge Infants School to congratulate Alex Harkins, the runners-up in this year’s Christmas Card competition. I also presented them with their prizes.
“Many congratulations again to Kyle whose design looks fantastic on my Christmas card and to the runners-up, Natalia and Alex whose designs are featured on the back of the card. I would like to once again thank all the children who participated in the competition this year and wish them all and their parents and the school staff a merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.”
Julian Cochrane, Head Teacher at Southview, the specialist school that works with children that have a physical or neurological impairment said: “We were delighted to welcome Priti Patel on Thursday, when she visited to congratulate Kyle on winning her 2022 Christmas card competition. It is particularly pleasing that Kyle’s design will feature on the cards sent out by Priti this year.”
