Priti supports Drummonds open day

Witham MP Priti Patel has supported the Drummonds care home in Feering at their open day. Priti, who campaigned to save the home for adults with disabilities when it was under the threat of closure, baked cakes for the open day and met residents and staff. Priti said:

“Drummonds is a fantastic facility and provides a comfortable home for dozens of residents. The open day was a great way for the home to open their doors to the local community do them to learn more about the home.”

“A few years ago when it was threatened with closure by former owners Scope I was pleased to work with residents and their families to campaign to save it. Since then the Black Swan Group have come in and invested in improving the home and bringing it into the twenty-first century.”
