Priti joins local Special Constables at Community Beat Surgery
The Witham MP, Priti Patel, called in to the Community Beat Surgery held at the Witham Hub on Saturday 5th February. The surgery is one of a series of fortnightly opportunities for members of the public to meet and chat to their local Special Constables. Specials Simon Jesse and Carrie-Ann Winton hosted the session and were pleased to meet up with Priti.
Priti took time to chat with them about their community policing role and the issues that come up for them in the course of their work. Priti said: “I have met Simon before and it was a pleasure to see him again. Carrie-Ann is very new to the job and it was good to talk to her. Specials play an important role in helping to police our community and often have a close working relationship with local people and organisations. They have my full support.”
Special Constable Simon Jesse said: “I was pleased to catch-up with Priti again and talk her through the current situation. Her interest in local policing is very much appreciated.”
The session was organised in conjunction with the Witham Hub.
