Tollesbury GP Surgery “leading the way” says Priti
The MP for the Witham constituency, Priti Patel, visited Tollesbury GP Surgery on Tuesday 13th August, to congratulate the practice on their excellent performance in improving patient outcomes and satisfaction in this year’s annual GP patient survey.
Alongside Mid and South Essex ICS Alliance Director Dan Doherty, Priti spoke to both GP partners and other staff at the surgery about some of the ongoing challenges in the NHS and GP system, and how services can work together for the betterment of patients. The staff at the surgery were able to talk to Priti about the acute health issues in Tollesbury and how they are working with the local community and bringing in new technology to best serve local people. Priti also learnt more about the surgery’s plans to expand their site to increase their capacity, as the local area and demographics change and develop.
Speaking after her visit Priti said: “I am very pleased that Tollesbury Surgery is leading the way in patient satisfaction – their community friendly approach and excellent health practitioners is why they have had another year of strong results in the annual survey. I was pleased to facilitate a meeting with the staff and Mid and South Essex ICS Alliance Director Dan Doherty, to see first-hand the excellent care and support that is being provided to the local community in Tollesbury, as well as discussing their future plans for expansion.”
