Priti signs prescription to save pharmacies

Witham MP Priti Patel, met with Leyla Hannbeck, the CEO of the Independent Pharmacy Association and many community pharmacists from across the UK to support the Fight4Pharmacies campaign. During the meeting Priti spoke to pharmacists about the importance of their work in supporting the NHS and GPs, and called on the Government to do more to recognise the service they provide. Priti signed the prescription to save pharmacies which was later delivered to Downing Street.

Priti said after the event: “Community Pharmacies are the backbone of local communities and they deserve support and the freedom to succeed. The Government must do more to ensure that this vital sector is given the proper recognition.”
