Priti celebrates Howbridge's success with pupils and staff from the school
Priti celebrates with local school over Ofsted result
Witham MP Priti Patel joined staff and pupils at Howbridge Junior School in Witham to share in the celebrations at the school after it received a ‘Good’ Ofsted result for the first time in more than 15 years.
During her visit, Ms Patel attended an assembly at the school, where the pupils showcased their singing talents and Priti congratulated them on the progress that has been made since the last Ofsted inspection in 2019. She also joined some of the pupils and staff for a group photograph, celebrating the achievement.
Priti said: “I would like to extend my congratulations to all of the staff and pupils who have made this great achievement possible. Supporting the school’s progress to a ‘Good’ rating has been an issue I have been working on with both the school and Vine Schools Trust. Educational standards in Witham have seen significant improvements since 2010, and while there is still more work that we can do to see more schools rated as outstanding, this achievement at Howbridge Juniors is testament to the teachers who work incredibly hard to ensure that pupils have a great day, week and year at school.”
