Priti Patel is guest speaker at Witham Industrial Watch’s first post pandemic business members meeting
Meeting for the first time in more than two years due to the pandemic, Witham Industrial Watch (WIW) has hosted a Business Improvement District (BID) members meeting, at Tiptree Patisserie (25th March 2022). The meeting featured a speech by local MP, Priti Patel, who was invited to talk to members about the business sector and pandemic recovery. She also took part in a Q & A session in which members were given the opportunity to put their questions and views to her.
Priti said: “I was pleased to be able to be at the first BID meeting for more than two years. It is vitally important that the business community is given help and every encouragement to get moving again, post the pandemic. It was a productive session and I listened very carefully to the feedback members gave me about their experiences during what has been an incredibly difficult couple of years, which is not being helped by the ongoing uncertainties created by the situation in the Ukraine.”
Kate Carling, Director of WIW, who organised the meeting, said: “It was very useful to have Priti here for our first in-person meeting since March 2020, and it gave the business members some useful insights into Governmental thinking on the recovery and an opportunity for members to ask their questions. We are grateful that she took the time out of her busy schedule to come and talk to us.”
