Priti Patel visits Witham based high tech drone survey and inspection company
The Witham MP, Priti Patel has paid a visit to Texo DSI Limited today (10th January 2020). The company, based on the Stepfield Industrial Estate in her constituency, gave Priti a briefing on their pioneering role in developing drone and crawler surveying technology and a tour of their premises, followed by a demonstration of some of their high-tech equipment in action.
The company has developed a wide variety of deployable technology including unmanned aerial and ground-based surveying platforms that allow surveys and inspections to be carried out in all kinds of challenging and normally inaccessible environments. Texo DSI has enhanced CAA permissions that allow them to fly above, beyond and closer to sites to provide the best possible surveys and inspections, integrated with the latest survey and inspection technologies.
Priti, commenting after her visit said: “It was useful to see how Texo DSI has developed the technology in this business sector and it was particularly fascinating to see their products in action both in the air and on the ground. They are revolutionising surveying techniques and the potential for reducing costs on major projects through time savings and increased accuracy is huge. I am pleased that we have a world leader in this technology based in my constituency, which can only enhance the reputation of Witham as the place to do business. I will be following their progress with great interest.”
Texo DSI’s Managing Director, Chris Smith, said: “We were very pleased to host the visit from Priti. We are delighted that she was able to spare the time from her busy schedule to come along and see for herself the equipment we are pioneering. A great deal can now be achieved more quickly, efficiently and safely using advanced surveying technology in tandem with unmanned drones and crawler platforms, all of which allow our clients to make informed business decisions rapidly and cost effectively.”
