Priti Patel MP congratulates local pupils on strong set of GCSE results
Witham MP, Priti Patel, has offered her congratulations to students across the Witham constituency who have collected their GCSE results in the last few days.
Priti said: “Many congratulations to all students who received their GCSE results just before the Bank Holiday weekend. We have seen some strong results locally and they are a testament to the hard work and dedication of pupils and teachers at the five secondary schools in my constituency. All pupils should be very proud of their achievements and success. Whether they have chosen to undertake further study or an apprenticeship, I am sure they will relish the challenge of their next step and I wish them the very best of luck.”
In the Witham constituency, all five secondary schools have seen an improvement in their GCSE results this year with more students achieving grades 9 to 5. Notably, Honywood School saw a 10% increase in the number of pupils achieving grades 9 to 5 and The Stanway School also achieved their best English and Maths results in recent years.
