Priti calls for Armond Road Traveller Site Action

Witham MP Priti Patel has called on Braintree District Council and Essex Police to remove an unauthorised Traveller site on Armond Road, Witham. Despite fencing put up to prevent incursions, a number of caravans have appeared on the land. Priti said:

“Yet again residents in Witham find themselves affected by unauthorised encampments set up on land where they should not be. This is unacceptable and highly disruptive to the local community. Fencing had been put up to protect this space but these vehicles have still managed to enter the land. Robust action is now needed to protect our open spaces from unauthorised encampments.”
