Priti to host Pensioners Fair
Witham MP Priti Patel is hosting an advice and information fair for pensioners on 1 November 2018 at Witham Public Hall. The Fair will bring together over twenty local organisations and groups that provide advice, information and activities for senior citizens. Amongst those attending will be Age UK Essex, Independent Age, the Witham Town Luncheon Club, Carers First, the Braintree District Community Wellbeing Team and Essex Fire and Rescue Service. Attendees can also have a try at walking football from Community Iron and receive free blood pressure and carbon monoxide checks from Provide.
Pensioners attending will be able to find out about clubs they can join, activities they can take part in and volunteering opportunities.

“This Fair will be a great opportunity for people to find out about services and activities available in our local community.”
“With more people living longer and having more time in retirement it is important that they have access to information and advice and opportunities to remain active. Across Witham there are a number of groups, organisations and clubs who are working in our communities to provide advice, information and activities to our senior citizens. The Fair brings many of these organisations together so people can find out more about them, receive advice and join clubs of interest to them.”
The Advice and Information Fair is open to the public between 10am and 1pm and open to all to attend.
